Tony Stark Explains His Post-Avengers Stress In New Iron Man 3 Clip

One of my favorite things about Iron Man 3 - a movie I absolutely loved - is how well it deals with its post-Avengers storyline. Rather than either completely ignoring it or spending too much time focused on it, the film finds a perfect middle ground, as Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) is shown to be deeply affected by the alien invasion he fought off at the end of Joss Whedon's movie. And that's perfectly illustrated in this brand new clip, which comes to us directly from Marvel.

Co-written and directed by Shane Black, the new sequel finds Tony not only working through the trauma he experienced at the end of last year's blockbuster, obsessively building new and different kinds of armor while he can't sleep, but also dealing with the fact that The Mandarin (Sir Ben Kingsley), the powerful leader of the terrorist organization The Ten Rings, has put a target on his back. The movie sees the return of Gwyneth Paltrow, Don Cheadle and Jon Favreau as their characters from the previous Marvel movies, while new additions include Guy Pearce as Aldrich Killian, Rebecca Hall as Maya Hansen, and James Badge Dale as Eric Savin.

While the movie has already been released in many international markets - where it's already making a ton at the box office - you can look for it in theaters here in the U.S. on May 3rd and stay tuned here on Cinema Blend as we ramp up to the event with interviews, features, and much, much more!
