Total Recall Remake Gets A Release Date
I must admit that I am somewhat on the fence about the remake of Total Recall. On the one hand I certainly consider myself a fan of the Arnold Schwarzenegger film, but I also really like Colin Farrell and they seem to be taking it in a much different direction. I'm retired to a place where I'm just going to wait for it to come out and judge it on its own merits. Now I know exactly when that will be.
Box Office Mojo has learned of three projects getting release dates including the Total Recall remake, the Adam Sandler-Andy Samberg comedy I Hate You, Dad, and the Kevin James MMA comedy Here Comes The Boom. All not arriving until 2012, the Colin Farrell sci-fi pic will be released August 3rd (up against The Bourne Legacy), I Hate You, Dad will arrive on June 22nd (versus Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter), and Here Comes The Boom is set up for July 27th (no competition has yet been announced).
Say what you will about Total Recall, but if you had to choose between it and the newest comedy from Adam Sandler or Kevin James I have to imagine that it would be a fairly simple choice.
