Tourists Invited To Revisit Christmas Story Home![]()
It’s near-impossible to find a person without a soft spot for the 1983 classic film A Christmas Story. The adventures of Ralphie and his Red Rider BB gun, his father with the infamous leg-lamp, the kid with his tongue stuck on a pole…that’s what timeless treasures are made of. It’s the perfect holiday one-two punch along with It’s A Wonderful Life.
According to CNN, a die-hard fan of the film, Brian Jones, has purchased the Cleveland, Ohio house featured in the film, renovated it ‘40s style, and opened the doors to the public. He also bought the house across the street, to serve as a museum/gift shop—which includes the arm-lifting snowsuit that Ralphie’s little brother was forced to wear. "I just want people to come and enjoy it as I have," Jones told the press of his venture, which cost him a whopping $500,000. If you calculate all of the people who adore the film and would love to revisit such a landmark (myself included!) then he should make back his money in no time. And, rest assured, you won’t be able to miss it—it’s the house with the lovely leg-lamp sitting provocatively in the window. |
