I’ve just watched the first trailer for Body of Lies, and while I now know that it stars Russell Crowe and Leonardo DiCaprio going toe to toe as a couple of badasses, I still have absolutely no idea what it’s about. Are they drug runners? Cops? Why is Russell Crowe trapped on the set of War Games? Where did DiCaprio buy his beard? Is that a clip from Blood Diamond? Body of Lies is a Ridley Scott movie, so I assume it has some sort of point and maybe even a plot. It might have been nice if they’d shared a little of that with us in this first trailer.
Still it’s DiCaprio and Crowe chewing scenery. That’d be worth watching even if it happened in an Uwe Boll movie. Watch them chomp away at the screen in the UK trailer for Body of Lies below. Afterward, if you’re left wondering what the hell this movie is about, hit up our preview for the official plot synopsis.

Why do so many people assume this will be a good movie? Scott has made plenty of clunkers. Remember A Good Year? This trailer is boring. Leonardo looks too boyish yet again, and Crowe's accent - could it be any worse?
Peter, exactly what accent are you looking for? Crowe doesn't need an accent, all he has to do is show up on the screen with his amazing acting abilities. Accent? Too picky.
