The latest pairing of Academy Award winning actor Tom Hanks and Academy Award winning director Robert Zemeckis is easily the most unlikely project the two have worked on together. In the past the two brought us Forrest Gump and Cast Away. This time around it’s The Polar Express.

A medium familiar to Hanks’ resumé, the computer animated kind, though highly unfamiliar to Zemckis. The closest Zemeckis got to directing animation was back when he did Who Framed Roger Rabbit?. But is this animation a product of the big two? Pixar or Dreamworks? Nope. It’s from Warner Brothers. And by the looks of it they’re going for that Final Fantasy photo realism kind of computer animation, which tends to be creepy.

Anyways, enough yackin’. The latest trailer for the flick has appeared online and is here for your viewing pleasure. The Polar Express arrives November 19th.
