I’d never heard of Chandni Chowk to Chinaby name. In fact, I’d only heard of it by reputation last weekend, when a friend told me about a “Bollywood musical kung-fu movie.” The concept alone is bizarre enough to make me want to see it. Fast forward to less than a week later - today - when an e-mail from Warner Brothers brought the trailer, which is even more bizarre than the concept sounds.

From what the trailer shows, Chandni Chowk to China combines the flamboyancy of Bollywood musicals with the absurd wire-fu of contemporary kung-fu movies. The result is something reminiscent of the silliness of Kung Fu Hustle, just with the Loony Tunes action replaced by musical numbers.
