Trailer For Flipped Will Make You Pine For Elementary School![]()
Rob Reiner has directed classics like The Princess Bride, Stand By Me, This Is Spinal Tap, Misery and A Few Good Men, but he's been on a vicious down slide since 1995. In that period, his most critically lauded film was Ghosts of Mississippi, which has only a 48% rating on Rotten Tomatoes. While still commercially successful, it's been far too long since we've seen a really great Reiner film. Perhaps his most recent one will break the streak.
Moviefone has posted the trailer for Flipped, based on the novel by Wendelin Van Draanen. The story follows two young children, Juli and Bryce, as they grow up together from second to eighth grade. Juli has been in love with Bryce from the moment she saw his blue eyes in second grade, but, just like the best of us men folk at that age, Bryce has no interest. As they grow in to maturity, however, Bryce's opinion about Juli slowly changes. The film appears to be a wonderful piece of nostalgia with a Wonder Years vibe. Though the two leads are newcomers, the cast is rounded out by Anthony Edwards, John Mahoney, Penelope Ann Miller, and Rebecca De Mornay. Check out the trailer below or in HD over at Moviephone. |
