I’ve just posted my review of Definitely, Maybe, in which Ryan Reynolds blew me away with the best performance of his career. I’ve always liked Reynolds, but now it looks like he’s really about to come into his own. Definitely, Maybe is great, and judging from the trailer his next movie looks pretty great too.

It’s called Chaos Theory, and in a strange way it looks like the sort of movie that in the 90s might have once starred the overracting of Jim Carrey and in the 80s would have been handed over to the wacky pratfalls of Chevy Chase. Instead, we get Ryan Reynolds… and hopefully a better movie too. In it, he plays an uptight guy who decides to throw caution and rationality to the wind to live his life by leaving literally everything to chance. It doesn’t have a release date yet, but check out the trailer:
