When he’s not playing sidekick to pop culture’s biggest icons, Shia LaBeouf is starring in taut, tense thrillers for director D.J. Caruso. Last year they had some success with Distrubia, and this year they’re together again for Eagle Eye, a thriller about a hapless innocent targeted by terrorists.
Eagle Eye’s first trailer is here, no doubt to coincide with Shia’s swinging performance in Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. Shia looks good in this, though the reliance on telephone shaped MacGuffins for thrillers getting a bit tiresome. Still, this might be fun. Check out the trailer below:
