Trailer For The Women Looks Like Sex And The City![]()
I’ve pretty much already said my lot about Sex and the City and how unappealing the movie is to those without a vagina. I don’t begrudge women the right to bond over cocktails and talk about fashion, sex, and anything else that comes to mind. I just don’t want to be involved, which is probably preferable by everyone.
The problem with a successful movie like Sex and the City is that it draws copycats. Exhibit “A” in the copycat argument - The Women, a new movie from Diane English that looks to the uninformed viewer like Sex and the City, only with Meg Ryan, Annette Bening, Eva Mendez, Jada Pinkett Smith, and Debra Messing. That’s right – a bunch of movie stars and Grace from Will & Grace. To really make things unappealing, throw in Bette Midler and Cloris Leachman. The new trailer for The Women is online and I have to say – I’m going to sit this one out. I’ve seen more than enough of the movie, which centers around a bunch of female friends (including one pregnant woman) talking and coping with an affair. The only real difference between this and SatC is that in the latter, one of the involved women would be the one having the affair. Here’s a look at the trailer for The Women. Women – go ahead and tell me how evil and misinformed I am in the comments section below. |
