Until I picked up a bag of swag at the Warner Bros. booth, I was completely unaware they were promoting Whiteout at Comic Con. There was no presence for the film during their Friday morning panel, and I didn't see any posters or trailers running on the exhibit floor-- though, to be fair, there was a lot to see down there. Instead, amid loot for Sherlock Holmes and Nightmare on Elm Street they included a carabiner with the Whiteout logo on it, and called it a day.
It's a bad sign for the Kate Beckinsale vehicle, which hits theaters on September 11th. But Warner Bros. has at least released a new trailer for the film, which you can see below. Kate Beckinsale plays a U.S. Marshal tracking down a killer in Antarctica, though based on the trailer it's hard to tell if there's a supernatural aspect involved or not. Really, it's hard to figure out much of anything based on the trailer. Just increasing the sense that this is the abandoned stepchild of Warner Bros.' upcoming slate.
