This is the summer of Superman, so there really should be no cross promotion surprises. Superman happy heals, bubble gum, magazines… you name it it’s out there. So how about a Superman murder mystery - didn’t expect that, didja?
Focus Features and Allen Coulter are bringing Hollywoodland to screens, a movie that features Adrian Brody as an investigator in the death of the original Superman, George Reeves. For an independent film, the movie certainly has a bulk of stars – Brody, Bob Hoskins, Diane Lane, and Ben Affleck as Reeves himself. I know what you’re thinking – Affleck? But if the new trailer is any indication, this movie looks amazing.
Coulter has really only directed television until now, making Hollywoodland his theatrical debut as a director. Again, if the trailer is telling he may have quite the film career ahead of him. We’ll have to wait until the movie’s early September release to find out for certain.

Hmmm. Got that "L.A. Confidential" vibe going on. Might be worth a look-see!
