What if Samuel L. Jackson was your neighbor? And what if he was a huge dick? That seems to be the premise of Lakeview Terrace, the story of warring neighbors who go too far. This could have easily been some sort of dark comedy, but they’ve layered the trailer with creepy, evil, serial-killer horror music, so it looks like they’re trying to make it scary. That actually makes me less interested than I might have been otherwise. Drop the scary music and give me more of Sam Jackson shouting, and then Lakeview Terrace becomes a must see.

Maybe there’s something here though. I love any movie in which Sam Jackson is allowed to torture white people. It’s like slavery reparations, without all the associated controversy. When it’s Sam delivering the payback, you always walk way thinking “they had it coming”, even if they didn’t.
