Well, I'll give the trailer for The Crazies this much: it's the first movie trailer that has ever made me think about Adam Lambert. I'm embarrassed to admit that I'm ever aware of the glam-rock American Idol contestant, but he was my first thought when the Crazies trailer made ballsy use of the Tears for Fears song "Mad World," which was one of Lambert's staples during his time on the show.

Yeah, I know, just ignore me and watch the trailer below, or in high-res at Apple.com. It's really a pretty snazzy trailer, dispensing with setup to lead straight into the crazy action, which happens when seemingly innocent townspeople suddenly go all bloodthirsty, and Timothy Olyphant is the sheriff who is the only man who can stop it. The action looks great and relentless, and if I weren't such a scaredy-cat when it comes to horror, I might even be the kind of person who would look forward to this.
