Trailer: Tyler Perry's I Can Do Bad All By Myself![]()
As consistent as the tides and the seasons, Tyler Perry is coming back this fall with another movie, this one looking more along the lines of family dramas like Meet the Browns than farces like Madea Goes to Jail. This time Taraji P. Henson stars as a selfish, misguided woman who's forced to take care of her sister's kids, and somehow meets a hunky guy in the meantime to make it all better. Perry's trademark character Madea is part of the action, providing the comic relief in between scenes of Henson crying at a bar.
You can see it all and more in the trailer for the film, available at Fandango. I'm tempted to be sucked in by the film's promise of genuine drama and a strong lead performance, but I saw Meet the Browns, which had all of those things (even Angela Bassett!) and was still a mess. But Perry's fans will find exactly what they're looking for, and as always, that'll be enough. |
