The trailer for Spike Jonze's Where The Wild Things Are is finally online! It'll be showing on the big screen this weekend in front of Monsters vs. Aliens, but you can check it out right now at Apple in high-res, or in the player embedded below.
I've got to say, it's pretty damn impressive. Short on plot and dialogue, yes, but a thrilling combination of visuals and scenes and really great looking monsters. You get the sense that Jonze is treating the world of the Wild Things as a parallel to the main character's actual life, and somehow the problems he's having with his parents will be reflected and maybe resolved by his monster pals.
It'll be even more interesting when we can see some scenes from the film, but this trailer, set as promised to the Arcade Fire's "Wake Up," is wonderful for now. Check it out below.
