If there’s a genre that’s more completely effed out than zombies, I can’t think of it. Zombies are the last refuge of anyone who can’t bother to come up with something else. I love a good post-apocalyptic movie, but does it always have to be zombies? Can’t anything else kill us all? I mean Hitchcock used fucking tweety birds to end the world. Maybe if we all stopped with the zombies someone would come up with something better.

Sorry that just needed to be said. Now that it’s been said I can say that the new trailer for Zombieland is awesome, especially for a movie about something which we’ve seen done over and over and over again in every way imaginable. Zombieland doesn’t seem to be doing anything new with it exactly, but it does seem to have a pretty good sense of humor about it.
