Transformers 2 Larger Than The Original![]()
If you’re looking forward to the return of Giant Freakin’ Robots this summer, then you’re going to enjoy the latest news from Transformers director Michael Bay. The sequel is running at a super-sized 147 minute running time, which means the second movie will run a few minutes longer than the original. And this is Michael Bay we’re talking about, which means that time probably isn’t used much on character development or drama, but giant robots fighting and massive explosions.
The news comes courtesy of MTV Movies Blog, who is excited about the potential for the long running time. Me? I’m less excited about it. While I did enjoy Transformers, it did feel like a long movie to me, with several storylines that could have been clipped to reduce the running time or focus more on some of the other storylines. Are you excited about Transformers 2: Revenge of the Fallen? I’m not hearing as many people being as passionate as they were about the first movie, which makes me wonder if the long running time is a good idea. After all, if Bay can’t get the die-hard fans excited about the movie, what hope does he have for the less interested movie-going public? To refresh your memory, here’s the trailer for Transformers 2: Revenge of the Fallen: |
