The Transformers: Age of Extinction viral site TransformersAreDangerous.com was revealed back in March when the debut theatrical trailer for Michael Bay's next film revealed a phone number that led to the address. With the exception of showing off a cool viral poster, however, the site hasn't seen much activity over the last couple of months. That changed today.

In addition to having a new backdrop announcing the importance of keeping the planet Earth for humans, the page now hosts a whole bunch of "in-world" features that express the extreme danger that the presence of robots in disguise present. Split into three categories, the first section presents a special video about "The Fall of Chicago" (a reference to the events seen in Transformers: Dark of the Moon):

The middle section is dedicated to various newspaper clippings from around the world that report problems with Transformers. There are articles featured from Austin, Chicago, Miami, Philadelphia, San Francisco, Seattle, Washington D.C., Barcelona, Brasilia, Sydney and Tokyo. You can check out the full spread HERE, and look at the San Francisco example below:

The last area of the site, which can be found by clicking on the right side of the homepage, is the "Spread The Word" section - or rather the place where you can find an archive of propaganda posters. The one-sheets are available to download in super high-res, and take a gander at the Bumblebee design below:

With Transformers: Age of Extinction set to come out in just a little more than a month - hitting theaters on June 27th - I'm curious to see if the TransformersAreDangerous.com site will develop any further. Could the locations mentioned in the newspaper clippings also wind up hosting special early screenings or preview events? Head over to the site, dig around a little bit, and tell us about any cool stuff you find in the comments section below!
