The San Diego Comic-Con has come and gone, but thanks to dishonest people who smuggle video cameras where they don’t belong, it hasn’t passed completely by. Although most places are only running reports of what was shown, the folks over at tfw2005 (that’s Transformers World 2005) have some of the actual video that was shown at the Transformers presentation.

I’ve looked over it and it’s honestly not that much. It runs about four minutes long in the good old Windows Media format. The first half is made up of fans talking about how Transformers touched them as children (something a court system should probably be looking into shortly) mixed with footage from the old cartoon and television commercials.

It’s the second half that will appeal to true Transformer fans. That’s when Executive Producer Steven Spielberg talks about the upcoming Transformers movie directed by Michael Bay. There are also some rough animatics shown, although given the format of the video it’s hard to see or hear. Finally, there’s footage of a car transforming, but to me it looks like it’s actually the British commercial that came out last year with the Citroen transforming into a dancing car.

Anyway, if you’re looking forward to the Transformers movie you might want to check this out.
