Neither loathsome reviews nor accusations of racism will keep audiences away from theaters tonight, as Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen makes its domestic debut at midnight showings sold out far in advance of the film’s 12:01am opening. As I write this east coast Blenditos are already filing into theaters for more of Michael Bay’s over the top, giant robot stomping action. Or maybe they’re just there to see Megan Fox in cutoffs.
Whatever your reasons, odds are that if you haven’t already you’ll soon be buying a ticket for what is almost certain to be the biggest movie of the summer. You’ve read my review and you’ve sat here impatiently, waiting your turn while audiences in Britain and Japan got in early last weekend. Now it’s your turn.
