Transformers Writers Have A License To Steal![]()
Even though screenwriters Roberto Orci and Alex Kurtzman seem sort of ambivalent about how it eventually turned out, the massive, over the top success of Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen this past weekend is going to make it even easier for the already heavily in demand duo to pick and choose projects. In fact Variety says they’ve got a License to Steal.
We hope you enjoyed our half-hearted world-play. The film’s name is License to Steal and they’re set to produce it for the Paramount Film Group. It’s an action-comedy based on a January 2009 Salon.com article on high-end repo men who take back the toys of the rich when they can no longer afford the rent. It can’t be easy to tow a Lear jet. Orci and Kurtzman won’t write it, instead they’ve brought in Shane Salerno to pen the script. His adaptation will apparently be based on a longer version of the story than the one originally published by Salon.com. |
