With Oscar in hand and street buzz he arguably hasn’t experienced since the release of The Downward Spiral in 1994, Trent Reznor is a man in complete control over his future dealings. He’s already on board to reteam with Social Network director David Fincher on the music for the American adaptation of The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo, but he may have firmly set his next project as well. If true, however, he’ll be doing a little more than just scoring.

According to Badass Digest, the Nine Inch Nails frontman will join the production of Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter, both as a musician and a villain. We’re not just talking a cameo here either: Reznor is set to play the undead monster that sucks the life from Lincoln’s mother and leads Abe to dedicate his life to the destruction of the vampiric kind (In case you didn’t realize from the title, this obviously is not a biopic).

There's been no confirmation yet from the Reznor camp or possible date on when the film may go into production, but we’ll bring those details when they become available. Until then feel free to get excited about this combination. Few other people seem more perfect to score a creepy film about an ex-president savagely disposing of vampires.
