Tribeca Video: Katey And Robert Talk About The Festival So Far![]()
The dirty secret about any film festival is that, while we journalists really are incredibly busy, there's also a lot of downtime, waiting for stuff to start and eating the free Zone bars in the press room. So after spending a few days gossiping with Robert Levin, one of the newest staffers at Film School Rejects, about what we'd seen at Tribeca, we decided to take the conversation public.
What you see below is my first-ever attempt at a video podcast, so please be gentle on the production values. But what the whole thing is lacking in fancy title cards and theme music, it's made up in content. Robert and I chat about some of the fest's biggest films, including Outrage and the deeply hilarious In The Loop, as well as some of our celebrity encounters so far. Robert also explains why a 23-year-old guy wouldn't necessarily be excited about interviewing a porn star, and a bee mysteriously attacks our cameraman, Manhattan Movie Magazine's Marlow Stern. This is the first of two podcasts Robert and i will be doing from the festival, so if you have any suggestions of what you'd like us to talk about, where you want us to stand next time, or how to avoid bee attacks, speak up in the comments! Enjoy the video below. |
