I have to admit that Tropic Thunder wasn’t really on my radar until a few days ago. Even with the cast including Ben Stiller, Jack Black, Robert Downey Jr., and more, I just wasn’t that into it. Then that awesome image of Downey in "black face" showed up and that changed everything. I can’t wait to see this movie.

The official trailer for Tropic Thunder is over a week off, but you can catch a look at it online right now on the movie’s website. Actually, this trailer, with a “shit blows up” caption, probably isn’t the one that will be in theaters, but it’s still kick ass. In fact, it might be better than whatever watered-down catchphrase winds up in theaters. Of course, that means you have to verify your age before you can see it, but that's a minor issue, right?

By the way – footage of Downey in motion is even cooler than the still image we saw the other day. In fact, I would have recognized him and not confused him for Don Cheadle if this trailer was the first look we saw of him, which is probably why it was cooler to release the image first.
