Even though the movie’s theatrical debut is still more than two weeks away, Twilight is already selling out. Fandango reports that nearly 100 November 21st showings, from Sacramento, California to Gainesville, Florida, are out of tickets.
If you plan to see Twilight opening night with your fellow fangirls, better buy a ticket right now before they’re gone. The film already accounts for 63% of the tickets being sold on Fandango. They’re outpacing Quantum of Solace, which opens in a week, by a huge margin. Bond tickets only account for 6% of pre-sales.
Despite this evidence to the contrary, I’m still not entirely convinced this won’t be another Serenity. Sure, tickets for the movie’s first showings are going fast. They’re probably selling to fangirls, and that should mean a big opening day. Once all of the franchise’s existing fans have seen it though, will anyone else bother? There’s plenty of excitement about this thing out there, but only among pre-existing, hardcore fans. If Serenity proved anything, it’s that devoted fans aren’t enough. Right now, nobody but those fans seems to care about Twilight.

i really really REALLY hope it is not sold out were i live! the book was so good! i can't wait for the movie to come out!... if i see it Friday i will tell you if it was good or not.
I classify movies in 3 ways: 1 - things u c in the theater, 2- things u rent, 3 - things u wait 4 on TV. this is deff a 2!!! I'm all 4 the vamp movies but like stated above by Julie, it looks like they showed most the action sequences in the trailers...

So it is questionable as to if they will hold their own in the box office but word of mouth once the hardcore fans have seen it might continue to put them near the top. I'm not saying they will hold onto the first slot once we fans have seen it but I think once we have an idea of how much action is in this film I think it will probably spark others to see it. It's a different take on vampires which is nice. I really want them to continue making the other films so I hope it does well.
