The MTV Movies Blog hasn't been known to report Onion-style faux news stories, and I didn't think Nikki Reed and Kristen Stewart had it in them to pull a fast one on the press. So I guess we have no choice but to believe this loony new story, that Stewart, who plays Bella in Twilight, and Reed, who plays Rosalie will reunite in the movie K-11, playing gay male inmates at a Los Angeles prison.
Oh, and the movie will be directed by Stewart's mom, Jules Stewart, who has been a script supervisor for movies like Are We There Yet?. And the movie's actual star will be Jason Mewes, a.k.a. Jay from the Kevin Smith movies. Reed, of course, seems to think this is all logical. “I have full faith in Jules. I suppose I would be [nervous about the handling of our transformations] if it were coming from left field, but I’ve known about the script for a very long time.”
Well, if 20-year-old Nikki Reed says it'll be a good movie... I guess we have to believe her? This sounds a lot like when Olivia Thirlby and Ellen Page were promoting Juno and told the press they would star together in a movie about teenage lesbian werewolves. Are all the young starlets of America just punking us? Or are there suddenly amazing, weird roles waiting for every girl who stars in a movie that opens at #1. And if that's the case, why is Megan Fox still showing up in dumb movies?
