Poor Cam Gigandet, never getting the vampiric respect he deserves. He was overshadowed as a blood-sucking hottie by Robert Pattinson in Twiliight, even though he was clearly the more interesting of the sparkly-skinned-vampire bunch. And now he's stuck starring in a horror movie that sounds like the worst kind of retread, playing Leighton Meester's boyfriend in The Roommate.

Meester, as we've reported before, will be playing a villainous college freshman who becomes completely obsessed with her roommate. No telling if Gigandet will be the overwhelmed boyfriend who doesn't understand what his girlfriend is up to, or, more interesting, a co-conspirator.
