Two New Stills From The Simon Pegg-Nick Frost Sci-Fi Comedy Paul
In 2004, American audiences were introduced to Simon Pegg and Nick Frost by way of Shaun of the Dead, an absolutely brilliant horror comedy that played as both a fantastic parody and a wonderful homage. The pair then went on to make Hot Fuzz in 2007. Once again, the film was a perfect set-up of a beloved genre, namely buddy cop and action movies. What's upsetting, however, is that neither film made much of a splash domestically, never reaching higher than 6th place on the box office top 10 or making more than $25 million during their respective runs. Hopefully that will change with Paul.
Empire has posted a pair of new photos from the Greg Mottola directed film and I continue to hope that this will be the film that gets the team of Pegg and Frost recognized. Edgar Wright, who directed both Shaun and Fuzz, sadly didn't see too much financial success in his first American film, but here's hoping that the two actors will have better fates. Then again, the best way to succeed in that endeavor would be to have a high-quality film.
Check out one of the new stills from the film below and head over to Empire to see the other.
