Tyler Perry Takes Bad Promotion To TV image
President Obama has made some pretty sweeping changes in his few brief months in the White House, among them instituting the precedent that if you have a particularly important message to impart to the masses, a 30 second commercial is no longer sufficient. You need a solid block of dedicated prime time television.

Tyler Perry didn't manage prime time, but he is putting together a one hour TV special devoted to promoting his upcoming movie I Can Do Bad All By Myself. Like any good promotional it will include interviews with cast members like Taraji P. Henson and Adam Rodriguez. And what special wouldn't be complete without musical numbers? Gladys Knight and Marvin Winans (who are also members of the cast) will perform songs from the movie's soundtrack.

The special will air 11 PM September 9 on TBS, right after Perry's TV show "Meet the Browns". I Can Do Bad All By Myself hits theaters September 11.
