There's never been a decent ass-kicking chick film. The closest we've gotten to that is, Resident Evil, which oddly enough, stars Milla Jovovich. It doesn't just star her, she's probably the best thing about it. It's odd, because the point of all this text is to bring you the trailer for Ultraviolet, which also stars Milla Jovovich, and for the first time in ass-kicking chick movie advertising history actually looks kind of good.

To me, the trailer makes Ultraviolet look like what Aeon Flux should have been, and wasn't. Of course, there's nothing especially new here, but I like the style of it, and there's plenty of guys being kicked. They could have done without the Matrix music in the first half of the trailer, but the second-half music makes up for it.

Maybe you'll hate it, but I'm really starting to think this one has potential… something I didn't think after I read the plot description a few weeks ago. Give the action-packed Ultraviolet trailer a chance, and watch it by clicking here.
