Alright I think we can all sit down and agree that making a movie out of Underdog is probably a pretty bad idea. But Disney is doing it anyway, so let’s look for the silver lining.
Ah ha! I’ve found something. It’s all the artwork they’re releasing to promote it. Some of it’s pretty snazzy, especially for pictures of a dog wearing a cape. No, he’s not wearing it in that creepy way that sometimes people force their pets to. You know, like those picture of weimaraners where they shove them in clothes and force them to enact various human rituals to be used as pictures on a calendar. That kind of creepy.

No, Underdog isn’t creepy. He’s actually kind of cute. Cute enough for Disney to use all their leftover artwork from their marketing campaign for a calendar. They’ve sent us a ton of extra artwork from the movie, all of which will probably be on your kid’s wall later this year. They’re all pictures of a dog in a cape, but they’re really nice pictures of a dog in a cape. Click on the thumbnails below to see high-res versions of them all.
