United States Postal Service Releasing Pixar Stamps![]()
Well, this makes sense. After the original series of Disney stamps were expanded from three issues to five, it only seemed like a matter of time before the United States Postal Service branched out and let Pixar in on the action. Now it's been made official that they will starting with a brand new line of collectible stamps on August 19th, 2011 .
In all, fans will be able to buy five different stamps showcasing Up’s Carl Fredericksen and Dug; Toy Story’s Buzz Lightyear and green aliens; Wall-E’s title hero; Remy and Linguini from Ratatouille; and Lightning McQueen and Mater from Cars. You may remember the Disney issues were all tied around themes such as friendship and imagination, but not so much with the Pixar issues. The line itself is called Send A Hello, though it’s unclear what or if that has anything to do with the beloved animation studio. No word on how long the stamps might be available for, but you should aim to get them while you can. Something tells me these will be pretty hard to get and if they are, here's to hoping the next issue starts incorporating unheralded side characters like Rex and Ellie. |
