Universal Is Feeling Criminal Macabre![]()
Paramount has ties to Marvel, Warner Bros. has them to DC, and Universal has Dark Horse. The mini-major of comic book companies signed a three-year deal with the studio over a year ago, and deals between the two companies have been trickling out ever since. The latest is Criminal Macabre, the Dark Horse series about a detective/hitman who takes out the likes of vampires and ghosts.
According to Variety, Kyle Ward will write the script, having recently been hired to write a sequel for the Hitman series over at Fox. As described here, Criminal Macabre sounds like a decent, if maybe more brutal, successor to Universal's own Hellboy series, a cross between traditional mystery stories and supernatural nonsense that's a lot of fun to see on the screen. |
