Universal Will Help Lie To Foreigners![]()
As we’ve noted recently, Ricky Gervais has assembled a top notch cast for his upcoming movie, This Side of the Truth. Gervais will be joined by the likes of Christopher Guest, Jason Bateman, Jeffrey Tambor, Jonah Hill and Tina Fey in what is shaping up as one of the best sounding comedies of 2009. However, you can’t just make a movie these days, you have to have someone distribute it to the movie theaters and what not. Otherwise, Gervais has to drive around showing it on the side of a van, and that’ just inefficient.
Fortunately, according to Variety, Universal Pictures, Intl. has just made a deal to distribute This Side of the Truth internationally. Warner Brothers will be handling the distribution in the good old US of A. I guess there really isn’t a whole lot more to say about that. If you live in Latvia or somewhere, Universal will make sure you get to see Ricky lying for the first time in his world and the comedic havoc that ensues. |
