The Simpsons used to be able to maintain a consistent level of funny for twenty-two minutes straight minutes, but past season ten, the whole thing has been heading downhill. One aspect of the show that never faltered, however, has been the lovable pairing of Itchy and Scratchy. While the writers may have run out of things for the Simpsons clan to do, the blue mouse killing the black cat never gets old and has a tendency to be a highlight. Such was the case in last night's episode.

Now in their 22nd season, the new episode, "Loan-a-Lisa," opened up with not only an Itchy and Scratchy cartoon, but a fantastic Up parody. Without giving too much away, Scratchy replaces Carl Fredricksen in the short and is living happily with his wife, only Itchy takes a bit of issue with that. Also, look out for Wall-E, Buzz Lightyear and Mike Wazowski in the clouds.
