Uwe Boll Is Ending The World![]()
Uwe Boll: still here! Are you really surprised? The guy has never responded to criticism in his life, and even though a petition to get him to retire from filmmaking for good gained considerable online traction, Boll is now dragging some icons of the 90s into his wild and wooly world. Lauren Holly, the love interest from Dumb and Dumber, and Luke Perry will star in The Storm, which sounds like Boll's attempt to give Roland Emmerich a run for his apocalypse money.
Holly plays a woman already dealing with an unnamed "end of days scenario" when Perry arrives in the guise of a man named Silas, a mysterious stranger "who holds the key to the approaching doom." The key to stopping it or blowing everything up? Or both? Who knows! That's the fun with Uwe Boll-- there is literally no way of predicting where the hell this is going to go. It's probably much easier to predict the direction of Perry and Holly's careers after this, though. It's always hard to watch those childhood icons fall. |
