Normally things are pretty quiet on Sunday around the Blend, but this morning when I finally stumbled out of bed my inbox contained a wonderful bit of French weirdness. Apparently in France Jean-Claude Van Damme is somehow still relevant, because they’re making a biopic about him… sort of. The movie is called JCVD, and it’s from director Mabrouk el Mechri. I'm guessing it's a comedy.

To promote the film, Mechria put together the little teaser trailer you see embedded below. It doesn’t contain footage from the film, but rather a hilarious re-enactment of how Van Damme came to be involved in it. No, he didn’t kick the casting director in the head. But close.
