Only a week after Kristen Bell told the world that “there is no future” for her cancelled TV series Veronica Mars, she’s doing an about face. Now she seems to think there will be a movie.

In a recent interview with TV Guide she says: “I knew some things that were going to happen in Season 4 that I'm not going to dare say, 'cause that's probably what the movie is going to be about.” Movie? Wait, the movie that you told us last Tuesday that “we haven’t even discussed.” Count me confused.

Will there be a Veronica Mars movie? It now sounds like Kristen Bell at least thinks there’s a possibility. The television show was cancelled because no one was watching, but it wouldn’t be the first cancelled TV series to find new fans and new life on the big screen. It worked for Star Trek. It hasn’t worked so well recently though, especially for fans of Joss Whedon. But at least Firefly fans got a movie, and even if it’s a total flop maybe Veronica Mars fans will soon get the same.
