March’s obligatory horror movie remake is The Last House on the Left, a retread done on a movie from 1972. It’s a decent premise really, one that might be worth revisiting. Did I just come out in favor of a remake? That didn’t happen.
In this remake, after kidnapping and brutally assaulting two young women, a gang led by a prison escapee (Dillahunt) unknowingly finds refuge at a vacation home belonging the parents of one of the victims -- a mother (Potter) and father (Goldwyn) who devise an increasingly gruesome series of revenge tactics.
