I get it Eddie Murphy. I really do. I understand why you keep making these godawful family movies. They pay the bills, they keep you in the life you’ve grown accustomed to, and idiots walk up to you on the street and tell you how much they love crap. What I don’t understand is why you don’t seem to make anyone else. Nobody would begrudge you the one shitty, lowest common denominator family movie a year if say, just every once in awhile, you did something else. I’d even take a Holy Man if that’s all you could muster. Sure it’s terrible but at least it’s something different. No, you cant’ even give us that. Instead this summer you’re in Imagine That, after doing Meet Dave, Shrek the Third, and Norbit all in quick succession. Sure you did Dreamgirls but that seems now more like an accident than a willful desire not to suck.
