The Proposal stars Sandra Bullock as a Canadian which, if you think about it, is the most challenging role she’s taken on in at least ten years. Normally she’s just Sandra Bullock, but now she’s Sandra Bullock saying “ay” and watching hockey. Good for her.

The film has Sandra as a pushy boss who forces her assistant to marry her so she can stay in the country. Ryan Reynolds plays the assistant and I’m pretty sure he has a solid sexual harassment case there if he wanted to press it. Of course then Sandra would probably just run off to Canada and escape prosecution. You can’t Canucks.
