Harrison Ford’s new movie opens this weekend… and nobody has noticed. The Weinstein Company hasn’t even bothered to advertise Crossing Over, I think it’s simply a case of bad timing. In the film, Harrison Ford plays an immigration officer who feels sympathetic for the illegals he’s supposed to be arresting. The idea here seems, rather clearly, to make us feel sorry for all the people sneaking across our border to get jobs. Maybe two years ago they might have had a shot at achieving that, but with the economy in the tank the last thing Americans want is a movie about how they should let people sneak across the border willy nilly to take away already scarce jobs and then send the money they make back across the border.
So the latest movie from Harrison Ford, the biggest box office star in the world, will hit theaters in limited release this weekend with no advertising and no fanfare. Odds are the clip we have for you below may be your only chance to see any of it. Watch it, and see what Harrison’s been up to:
