Video: See 25 Stars In A Lot Of Embarrassing Pre-Fame Roles

It's always fun to catch a random old movie on cable and find your attention drawn to some background character. Hey, is that Elijah Wood as the kid playing the video game at the 80s Cafe in Back to the Future: Part II? What is Brad Pitt doing in a background scene in Less Than Zero? The hunt for celebrities in movies before they were actual celebrities is such a fun pastime it turned into a short-lived 90s TV show hosted by Scott Baio, but now we have the Internet for hunting down all those embarrassing haircuts and line readings.

This supercut from YouTube users pleatedjeans highlights some of the pre-fame roles you might have heard of, like Jennifer Aniston in Leprechaun or Jack Nicholson in the original, Roger Corman-directed Little Shop of Horrors. It also misses the mark weirdly on some of them-- the clip of Seth Rogen in Donnie Darko is startling to see, but he'd already been on Freaks and Geeks by the time that movie came out. Likewise it's funny to see Arnold Schwarzenegger flex his muscles in a clip from Hercules in New York, but by then he was already Mr. Universe. And there's a reason Sarah Jessica Parker is dressed as Annie in that clip-- she was playing the role on Broadway at the time. But there's also a lot of things I didn't know about, like early roles from Ben Stiller, Jim Carrey, and an astonishingly hokey Nicole Kidman.

Plus, a trip down memory lane is always good for a mid-day distraction. Check out the clip below and pick your favorite embarrassing moment.
