Vince Vaughn And Owen Wilson May Reunite For 2 Guns
Back in 2005, Wedding Crashers was the hit comedy of the summer and everybody saw nothing but incredible things coming in the future for Vince Vaughn and Owen Wilson. Both members of the "Frat Pack" - which also included the likes of Ben Stiller, Luke Wilson, Will Ferrell amongst others - the pair was being looked at as Hollywood's new top comedic duo. The truth is, however, that the two haven't made a movie together since. That now may change.
Pajiba is reporting, via their source The Hollywood Cog, that Vaughn and Wilson may reunite for a project titled 2 Guns, based on a screenplay by Blake Masters, the writer from HBO's Brotherhood and Law & Order: Los Angeles, and based on the comic by Steven Grant and Mat Santolouco. Should they choose to make the film together, the two actors would play a DEA agent and an undercover Naval Intelligence officer who are investigating each other and end up robbing a bank together per request from their employers. Things change, however, when they discover that the money is dirty and they need to find out who it actually belongs to before they are hunted down. Vaughn is currently attached while Wilson is in negotiations.
Wilson and Vaughn and amazing chemistry in Wedding Crashers and while the plot may not sounds hilarious, it's being planned as a buddy cop reminiscent of those from the 1980s (between The Other Guys and Cop Out it appears that the genre is making a serious come-back. The Frat Pack pretty much got derailed once the Apatow crew took over the comedy world, but with Seth Rogen and crew's popularity slowing sinking at the box office, perhaps 2 Guns will represent two comebacks.
