Vince Vaughn's Wild West Comedy Show![]()
I’ll be honest. There’s one reason and one reason only I’m reporting on this movie. It’s the title. Here it comes: Vince Vaughn's Wild West Comedy Show: 30 Days & 30 Nights -- Hollywood to the Heartland. Now that’s a movie I want to see. Are you with me? Good, because it gets a lot less interesting from here.
Vince Vaughn’s Wild West Comedy Show is a documentary in which Vince Vaughn leads a bunch of unknown comics across the United States on a month long comedy club tour. The movie showcases the behind-the-scenes lives of Vaughn… and some wannabes no one cares about. For me, the real question is how much drinking will Vince do during this tour. Comedians are infamous for living debauched lifestyles on the road. If Vince takes part in that, then it’s not just a cool title, it’s the second coming of Dave Attel’s great Comedy Central show ‘Insomniac’. If everyone’s not drunk by minute five, then it’s probably going to end up a lot like Jerry Seinfeld’s sort of boring Orney Adams documentary Comedian. Vaughn describes it as, “a comedy, but also a road movie. It's not like a traditional film.” The Hollywood Reporter says Picturehouse and New Line International have picked up the rights to Vaughn’s Wild West Comedy Show. Picturehouse plans to give it a limited release around the U.S. early next year. |
