Vincent Schiavelli: Eternal Ghost![]()
While we don't often cover death reports at CinemaBlend (we try to veer away from the morbid), the passing of talented character actor Vincent Schiavelli deserves mentioning. Sadly, he succumbed to lung cancer at the age of 57 at his home in Italy.
He starred in over 150 movies including One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest and Amadeus. His droopy features kept him from being a romantic leading man, but he was a fantastic character actor over the span of his lengthy career. These types of actors often don't get the type of respect they deserve, because they are not huge names and they often keep low profiles. He may not have graced the cover of "Vogue" but he is memorable for several oddball parts, including the scary man screaming "Get off my train!" in 1990's Ghost. In a world of mainstream mediocrity, you'll be missed, Vince. |
