Back in June, producer Ted Koplar seemed a bit confused. On the first day, reports came out that plans for a Voltron movie were scrapped in favor of a television show and a new toy line. Then, just two days later, Koplar made a full reversal and said that not only was a film planned, but that they were about to hire a screenwriter. News on the front has been dead since, but now there's something to report.

JoBlo is not only reporting that Thomas Donnelly and Joshua Oppenheimer have been hired to write the script (scribes of the upcoming Dr. Strange and Drake's Fortune films), but have also received two pieces of concept art from the film. Fair warning, the art does look incredibly cool, but that's kind of the nature of concept art - it's a true vision before it gets compromised and destroyed by the studio. That doesn't mean we can't be excited about it, though.
