Wahlberg And Ferrell Teaming Up For Comedy![]()
Which would you rather see-- an action comedy starring Will Ferrell and, uh, Mark Wahlberg, or Matt Damon back in spy mode? Both of them seem like sure money-making bets, and both of them are pitching themselves to studios this week, as laid out in an article in today's Variety.
There's no real doubt that either project will get picked up, but apparently Ferrell and director Adam McKay are making the rounds to sell the project, as well as Damon and Bourne Ultimatum writer George Nolfi, who will make his directorial debut on the project. The Ferrell and Wahlberg comedy is called The B-Team, and stars the two actors as cops who, presumably, are a notch or two below A-team. Damon's film is called The Adjustment Bureau, a sci-fi love story loosely based on a short story by Philip K. Dick. The two projects have nothing to do with each other, really, other than they're both selling themselves right now and therefore got shoved into the same Variety article. But the Ferrell Wahlberg one is definitely the most intriguing-- who knew Wahlberg had real comedy chops? As much as I enjoy seeing badass spy Damon, it's Wahlberg's comedy debut that I'll definitely be looking forward to. |
