There’s not much to say about this short but sweet clip from David O. Russell’s latest directorial outing The Fighter. The story follows the life of ‘Irish’ Micky Ward and his brother, Dickie Eklund, who trained him after his own boxing career

The scene shows of a nice bit of acting from all corners of the ring: Amy Adams hits the right notes, Christian Bale, as usual, is as chameleon as ever, and even Wahlberg, generally known for not being the most emotive actor, feels like he’s doing it right. It’s a quick little scene but it does a lot to show off the story and generate a lot of tension between Ward’s brother and girlfriend.
